falls, spills, and talking

well we had a fairly slow week last week.... although a lot of things happened last week... first i'll update you about how our speech therapy went last week... they came on friday, both the speech thearpist and our regular therapist... they evaluated both seth and evan to see if they still needed to follow up on their speech therapy.... they pretty much tested evan and seth the same way PRemiere care does and they scored within normal limits... evan was a little bit below average but still within normal limits... and seth scored at average and also a little below average on his scores... but since they were still well within normal limits we have now been discharged from all of their therapy services... no more physical, occupational, or speech therapy... i did ask about when we go back in july for premiere care and they say they need therapy again what should i do... and carolyn said just to call her back and they will re-evaluate them... but she seems very optimistic about how they are doing.... i did get a little emotional saying goodbye to carolyn she has been in our family since the babies were 6 months old... it was hard saying goodbye... she gave me a lot of good information and also calmed my nerves about many things... i will dearly miss her but at the same time am glad that the quads are doing so well that they dont need thearpy anymore... its bittersweet!

last week we also had our first "major" accident... (although my doctor probably wouldnt say it was major) i guess major to me... scary for me... (not a car accident)... austin was playing in the living room and he was standing on a lap table... somehow he slipped and hit hos head HARD on the floor... (thankfully carpeted).... well he was crying (of course) so i went to go pick him up and then all of a sudden while i was comforting him he went limp in my arms.... i called his name to him and he opened his eyes very groggily and then shut them again... i screamed for bobby and was running for the door while holding austin (bobby was outside) he came to again and then went limp again... bobby said he had heard the bonk from outside but didnt think anything about it... when he heard me screaming he came inside the house.... i told him what happened and he held him... still coming in and out of consiousness... bobby got a flashlight and was checking his eyes... he had him stand up but he was so unstable i told him to pick him back up... i called the doctor and thankfully he called back within three minutes at the most and he told me that as long as he didnt start vomiting that he should be fine... sleepy and clingy but fine... well he was clingy for about an hour or so, then wanted down off my lap... he was active but not his usual self... and then when we were getting them ready for bed he was sitting on my lap and i dont know if he thought my hand was supporting him ( i was brushing seths teeth) he fell back again... poor baby... he never did vomit (thankfully) because then we would have had to take him in... he was back to his normal self by the next day... (i have since put those lap tables in the closet)... that was tooo scary to have a re-play on one of the others...

and i dont know whats going on this week, but they are REALLY clumsy this week... evan somehow bonked the corner of the kitchen chair and has a cut right between the eyes, seth has a bonk on the side of his head.... and all of them have fallen a number of times this week...

i also have noticed this week that they are starting to hit each other... im trying to stop that before it gets worse... so im really watching them now to make sure they arent hitting...

they have learned a new name this week.. Ryan... my friend let us borrow her sons birthday video and they have now learned his name...

thats pretty much all thats happened since last week after therapy...

hope ya'll have a great week...

me~

I'm sure it was bittersweet to tell Carolyn good-bye. When i told 2 of Sarah's therapists good-bye, i got teary, and i didn't have them nearly as long as you've had Carolyn. (the 3rd one i didn't have long at all and by then i decided not to get attached to them.) :) Anyway, she's been a big part of your life now for 18 months and a big part of your life since becoming a mom and that's completely understandable. :) I'm glad they're doing well enough that they don't need therapy, but i understand the bittersweet.

So scary about Austin! So glad he's OK!!!

Uh oh on the hitting. I know kids do that, but it's not fun when you have 4 learning that at the same time!

Falling: maybe they're doing that to make me feel better about sarah's dyspraxia. :)

CUTE that the kids learned ryan's name. :) I hope Bekah says it really well since she's marrying him.
