walking...

Well we were very excited to learn that the March of Dimes is having a walk here in the San Antonio area on May 16... We do enjoy walking and but it seems this walk is particularly special... We got a call last week from Carolyn our Premiere Care tester stating that the Premiere Care group is organizing their own team of walkers and that we could join in on their team.. the exciting news is though that they are making up team shirts and they are going to put the babies picture on the t-shirt... It will be one they took at the Reunion party they have in October when we dressed the quads up as the Wizard of Oz!!! It isnt this picture, but thought i would put a picture up just to remind you... arent they CUTE!!!!.. im just so excited that they get their picture on the t-shirt... Bobby and i are very excited about it and cannot wait for the walk!!! MAY 16!!!!!

also we are doing the Race for the Cure walk.. that walk is on APRIL 4... we are not doing the competitive race just the fun walk since we are taking the quads on this walk as well... we are walking in honor of a cousin, but Bobby's grandma died of cancer...

random pictures...

these are just some pictures i have taken this past month... thought i'd update with a picutre post...

here is Dr. Rath with the quads... he took their first "picture"... when i had just found i was pregnant, (i was working for him), i started to spot.. he did a sono and told me that everything looked fine but that he did indeed see three sacs... he told me that they may not all have heart beats but to just be prepared for when we go to the specialist we were seeing (needless to say i was in a daze the rest of the day)... well later when we found out that we were actually having four and that they all had heart beats.. Dr Rath later told me that he did see four, but just stopped at three because he didnt want to completely scare me... so here is Dr Rath with my babies!!!
here is Monica and Vivian with Dr. Rath...

and here is his other office workers Sandi and im ashamed to admit i forgot the other lady's name but she is very sweet... I AM SO SORRY!!!!!!

here is Evan in his daddy's rubber boots... he just decieded he need to put daddy's boots on... he needed help since they are taller than daddy's regular boots...

here is Carolyn our Occuptaional therapist... this is when we were discharged from all therapy services...
i am going to miss carolyn so much.. she helped me through so much!

and here is Maria, she was the speech therapist that tested them and found that they were within normal limits and didnt qualify for therapy...

here we are at Lowe's... they love these carts... and i must say i think bobby and i love them as much as they do... bobby acts like a little boy racing down the aisle with them... bobby is really good at steering them... im not so good at it... but the quads sure have fun riding in them!!!

here is bekah... she had a static problem this week in her car.... i thought it was a cute picture!!!

this is bekah after the ATTACK OF THE THIN MINT!!!! Bekah scraped by but she ate the competition!!! this is after just ONE cookie...

here are the babies this past monday.... my mom and i found some cups at target for a dollar and i thought they were cute and it would give them practice with an open cup... they did pretty good... for not having practiced with an open cup in a couple weeks... we gave them the cups as part as their valentines gift...
here is bekah and evan...

and here is seth and austin...

evan drinking from his open cup...

seth drinking from his open cup...

bekah drinking from her open cup...

austin drinking from his open cup...

and this picture is from this morning... we had cereal for breakfast and we use these bowls that suction to the table... i have a posted a picture of them after eating cereal before... welll i was cleaning up evan and bekah and seth decieded he wanted to help and was pulling at the bowl and before i realized it and before he did too.. the bowl came up and....

well this is what happened... he had milk on him but thankfully he didnt get drenched... just a little soaked! thankfully austin was so absored with his cereal he didnt see what happened or else i think he may have tried to get his bowl up too...

falls, spills, and talking

well we had a fairly slow week last week.... although a lot of things happened last week... first i'll update you about how our speech therapy went last week... they came on friday, both the speech thearpist and our regular therapist... they evaluated both seth and evan to see if they still needed to follow up on their speech therapy.... they pretty much tested evan and seth the same way PRemiere care does and they scored within normal limits... evan was a little bit below average but still within normal limits... and seth scored at average and also a little below average on his scores... but since they were still well within normal limits we have now been discharged from all of their therapy services... no more physical, occupational, or speech therapy... i did ask about when we go back in july for premiere care and they say they need therapy again what should i do... and carolyn said just to call her back and they will re-evaluate them... but she seems very optimistic about how they are doing.... i did get a little emotional saying goodbye to carolyn she has been in our family since the babies were 6 months old... it was hard saying goodbye... she gave me a lot of good information and also calmed my nerves about many things... i will dearly miss her but at the same time am glad that the quads are doing so well that they dont need thearpy anymore... its bittersweet!

last week we also had our first "major" accident... (although my doctor probably wouldnt say it was major) i guess major to me... scary for me... (not a car accident)... austin was playing in the living room and he was standing on a lap table... somehow he slipped and hit hos head HARD on the floor... (thankfully carpeted).... well he was crying (of course) so i went to go pick him up and then all of a sudden while i was comforting him he went limp in my arms.... i called his name to him and he opened his eyes very groggily and then shut them again... i screamed for bobby and was running for the door while holding austin (bobby was outside) he came to again and then went limp again... bobby said he had heard the bonk from outside but didnt think anything about it... when he heard me screaming he came inside the house.... i told him what happened and he held him... still coming in and out of consiousness... bobby got a flashlight and was checking his eyes... he had him stand up but he was so unstable i told him to pick him back up... i called the doctor and thankfully he called back within three minutes at the most and he told me that as long as he didnt start vomiting that he should be fine... sleepy and clingy but fine... well he was clingy for about an hour or so, then wanted down off my lap... he was active but not his usual self... and then when we were getting them ready for bed he was sitting on my lap and i dont know if he thought my hand was supporting him ( i was brushing seths teeth) he fell back again... poor baby... he never did vomit (thankfully) because then we would have had to take him in... he was back to his normal self by the next day... (i have since put those lap tables in the closet)... that was tooo scary to have a re-play on one of the others...

and i dont know whats going on this week, but they are REALLY clumsy this week... evan somehow bonked the corner of the kitchen chair and has a cut right between the eyes, seth has a bonk on the side of his head.... and all of them have fallen a number of times this week...

i also have noticed this week that they are starting to hit each other... im trying to stop that before it gets worse... so im really watching them now to make sure they arent hitting...

they have learned a new name this week.. Ryan... my friend let us borrow her sons birthday video and they have now learned his name...

thats pretty much all thats happened since last week after therapy...

hope ya'll have a great week...

my main concern for the pictures was their individual shots... i am so glad that at least in those they are smiling.... i found out that the place that took the pictures was not really looking forward to our appointment... because the "2 Year Old" appointments are usually their hardest and here they were going to have four 2 year olds.... well they were pleased with how the appointment went and i was too....
well im sorry that it took me so long to post these pics... i dont have an excuse of busy weeks because these past two weeks have not been busy.. we do have a speech therapy appointment today and ill let you know how that goes....
i hope you enjoyed looking at the pics...
